1. good，well，nice，fine

good是涵義最廣的常用詞，屬一般用語，主要指“人的品質(zhì)好”或“東西的質(zhì)量好”等意思。如:

Milk is good for children.

牛奶對兒童有益。

John is a good worker.

約翰是一名好工人。

nice帶有一定的感情色彩，著重強調(diào)人們的感覺，含有“漂亮的”、“美妙的”、“美味的”等意思，也可表示對人“友好和藹”。如:

The chips are nice.

這些炸土豆條很好吃。

Nice to meet you.很高興見到您。

fine側(cè)重于表示“質(zhì)量精細(xì)”、“身體健康”，還可以表示“天氣晴”等意，語氣比good重。如:

—How are you?你身體好嗎?

—Fine,thank you.很好,謝謝你。

It is a fine day today.今天天氣晴朗。

well常用作副詞，修飾動詞，也可用作形容詞(僅作表語)，表示“身體好”、“健康的”、“順利的”等意。如:

My grandma is very well.我奶奶身體很好。

Liu Ning speaks English well.劉寧英語講得很好。

2. tall與high;short與low

說人、動物、樹木等有生命的東西，要用tall，不用high，如a tall woman一個高個子婦女。

high表示不與地面接觸的人或物的高，或人站在桌子上、飛機飛上天空的高度等。如:

He is high up in the tree.

他高高地爬在樹上。

The plane is so high in the sky.

飛機在空中這么高。

指建筑物、山時用tall或high都可以，不過high的程度比tall高。

high可作副詞，tall不能。

tall的反義詞為short，high的反義詞為low。

指人(樹、樓)的個子時用tall與short;指其他事物(含價格price時)一般用high與low。如:

He's very tall/short.他個子高/矮。

Tall trees are standing on both sides of that avenue.

大道的兩側(cè)有高大的樹木。

A few people live on high mountains.

少量的人住在高山上。

3. real與true

(1)real指客觀上存在，并非想象和虛構(gòu)的，它是與“無”相對而言。如:

Mo Yan's real name is Guan Moye.

莫言的真名字是管謨業(yè)。

(2)true是指“真正的”,“真實的”，強調(diào)事實和實際情況相符，它是與“假”相對而言。如:

The news is true.這消息是真的。(不是假消息)

4. interested與interesting

interesting指人或東西“有趣的”，作定語或表語，而interested則表示人對別的事物“感興趣的”，只能作表語(excited/exciting;bored/boring等類似)。如:

The teacher is very interesting and all the children like him.

那個老師很有趣,孩子們都喜歡他。

This cartoon movie is really interesting. Most kids like it.

這部卡通電影確實有意思。大部分孩子都喜歡。

Li Lei is very interested in physics.

李磊對物理非常感興趣。

5. whole與all

記住兩個詞序：the whole+名詞;all(of) the+名詞。如:

He was busy the whole morning.

整個早晨他都很忙。

He can remember all the words he learns.

他能記住學(xué)過的所有單詞。

6. lonely與alone

lonely是表示心理活動的形容詞，意思是“孤獨的,寂寞的,荒涼的”,作定語或表語;alone的意思是“獨自的,單獨的”,指無人陪伴，僅作表語，作為副詞的alone可作狀語。如:

He lives alone but he doesn't feel lonely.

他一人獨住,但是并不感到孤獨。

He is a lonely person. You can not easily get on well with him.

他是個孤獨的人,你要和他相處好實在不易。
